    Last week-end, we’ve delivered and installed 1.8m long Cedar barrel sauna to a small town near Bendigo in Victoria. This unit is featuring traditional door and a 6kW electric heater. Supplied complete with Cedar bucket, Cedar ladle and thermometer.

    It was one of these winter days when the sun was shining, the air was warm and we enjoyed our trip to Woongarrah in Central coast. The sauna that we were bringing to install was 2.7m long barrel with overhang and front seat, wood fired heater and LED lights. Our new design to make it easier to deliver made it possible to put all the parts and long 2.7m staves in our Toyota HiAce without using roof wrecks. This is how to assemble both back and front walls of your Ukko barrel sauna when supplied flat pack:

    Take two halves of the supplied back wall and connect them together:

    Now all you have to do is to screw two supporting planks in to the back wall:

    This is how back wall looks like fully assembled:

    Do the same with the front wall:

    Lay down parts of the front wall for assembly
    Screw all parts together with supplied screws:

    Now you are ready to install the sauna starting with the base:

    Lay down all base parts on the floor

    Screw all parts together with supplied hex screws
    Place bottom staves first and slide back and front walls in to the grooves:

    Put back and front walls in to position so that they are leveled
    Continue with staves until the barrel is assembled:

    Now, just tighten the rings, put benches and a heater and your sauna is ready!

    Now all you need is wood and start the burner :):

    2.1m long Ukko Barrel Sauna
    Specially designed and crafted Ukko barrel sauna at 2.1m length.
    This traditional hot rock barrel sauna was designed and hand crafted based on customer requirements. First of all it is bigger – about 1.9m diameter (customer is a bit taller than we’ve expected :)). Secondly, we’ve made a door to be half glass and half window and it looks fantastic! The heater was upgraded to 8.0kW with soapstone on the sides:

    Well, everything else is the same – it is a sauna after all so two benches, rocks, guardrail, floor duckboard, light fitting, air vent, towel hooks and accessories were supplied as usual :)… To design your own barrel sauna, please contact us with your special requirenments….
